Maia Kincaid has been working with clients from Japan by telephone since 2001.

In 2017 she was asked to come to Japan to teach animal communication workshops and work with clients in person. Maia and her husband Dev loved being in Japan and meeting animal lovers there.
In 2018 Maia cofounded a Professional Yearlong Animal Communication Mentoring Certification program for Japanese-speaking students. Maia was a professor from 2018 - 2020.
